Culver City highlight
Strong arts
Culver City hosts the Kirk Douglas Theatre, an award-winning playhouse, plus The Actors' Gang experimental theatre founded by Tim Robbins, the Museum of Jurassic Technology, and an officially designated Arts District with galleries and restaurants.

The Kirk Douglas Theatre, a 317-seat venue in downtown Culver City, opened in 1947 as the Culver Theatre. After an $8 million restoration completed in 2004, it was renamed to honor the actor and reopened with two additional performance spaces. The theatre operates under the Center Theatre Group and produces theatrical productions year-round for the community.
The city is also home to The Actors' Gang, an experimental theatre and nonprofit arts organization founded in 1981 by a collective of young artists that included Tim Robbins as a founding member and artistic director. Based at the historic Ivy Substation in Culver City, the organization produces plays and provides community outreach programs. The Museum of Jurassic Technology, founded in 1988 and located on Venice Boulevard, offers over 30 permanent exhibits. Additionally, the eastern section of the city was formally designated as the Culver City Art District, attracting independent galleries and restaurants that support both emerging and established artists.
Arts and culture strengthen family and community life in ways that matter for long-term planning. When you consider what your household needs protection from—the loss of income that funds schooling, activities, and the stability that lets children grow—you're thinking like the life insurance conversation should. A 20- or 30-year term policy covers the years when those needs are greatest, whether it's tuition, a mortgage, or simply the continuity that helps families thrive.
